Summer EP melt down

Tuesday, August 9, 2011:

I was finally in the process of learning how to use my new drum machine, and getting everything dialed in on the songs when my Summer EP disappeared. 

What happened is, I bought an external hard drive and was clearing out my internal drive to make space for more music. Thinking that my precious summer ep song set was in another folder, I deleted the containing folder that held the entire album. DRagsville USA
so here are the bounced un-finished versions of the songs, mere fragments of their fleshed out deleted counter parts. The original title of the EP is plug and play summer hangups cameltoe indian reincarnation. 
now its just summer EP, oh well. 
 
I was aiming to string together elements of surf rock, electronica, hip-hop, no-wave and the counter cultural psychedelica of 1967-69. I also incorporated some found sounds and atmospheres to give the songs a more liquid momentum. I wanted most of the drums I programmed on the album to sound tribal, but the finished product was more reminiscent of a mutant brazilian samba player back from the dead to attend Jerry Lee Lewis’ funeral.
